Spirited Voyage Set Sails for Erin Wilks urn:uuid:1225c695-cfb8-4ebb-aaaa-437314 2012-02-23T13:02:00Z Thank you TDC for contributing $200 towards the voyage where I... Lived with 54 strangers for 10 days, sailed through terrifying 2 meter swells, slept in hammocks surrounded by snorers, scrubbed the decks like a real pirate, did night watch for 3 hours, swam twice around the ship at 0600 in the morning, climbed 32 meters up the mast to touch the flag pole, learnt completely new skills like navigation and knot tying, took charge of a multi million dollar and 286 ton ship, made life long friendships with people all around NZ, survived and loved every bit of it! So, thank you again TDC for contributing $200 towards the voyage which shaped me into a more independent and 'up for the challenge' person in our community.
